The Resurrection

Being sick gives one lots of time to think, maybe too much. I have been able to think and indulge into my past more than I would like. Looking through my past has led me here, to my blog. My sad little attempt at spreading the word of preppy fashion. I don't know who I thought I was two years ago, but I am not longer that kid. Obsessed with Kate Spade? In love with Sperry? I was clearly a want to be prepster. A parasite- who just hooked on to fashion trend after fashion tend pretending that I was that trend. I guess that is part of finding yourself, trying every little thing along the way, changing who you are to become that "trend". That's just part of high-school.

Now that I am done with my little reflection, I can begin again- hence the title (Resurrection). I just recently was accepted to a lovely journalism program for the summer on the East coast and am "super-pumped" for the experience (yes, in real life I do use words such as, super-pumped). I googled and googled this program and found one thing, that at the end of each day you must blog. After reading blogs of alum I noticed a lot of them started their blogs before the program and continued them after. Many wrote them as a way to document their adolescents and sitting here now I can see the benefit in that. In combination with my being sick and bored and my exploration into my summer journalism program I have found myself here, on a blog I started long ago. I have decided that it is time for me to start it up again, this time without a focus on fashion, but a focus on just me in general. This blog is written for my benefit, for me alone, as a way to remember the life that I have had- some deep stuff right there. And so it beings.

Lazy Day

I am just too lazy! I keep telling myself, I have to do my english project, but I cannot get myself to get started. Instead, I decided to day is the day to find some new sandals! I love these, but maybe they are to blingy for me and too, well everyone might get them:

These laid back ones from Sperry are more my style:
I love the boat ribbon!

School Supplies

Today at school, I noticed how messy my backpack was! To find anything, I have to empty it all out. I barley have anything in there that is important anyways! Here is what was in my backpack when I first emptied it out:
- 4 folders (really messy)
- 1 binder (really messy)
- A pair of shorts
- A calculator
- A wad of pencils (and I mean a wad, just a group of them, like twenty-six with a rubber band around them)
- A glass bead bracelet
- The trash from an old pack of Oreos
- A triangle ruler
- A girl packet (complete with girl things, nail polish, hand warmers, breath mints,  wisps, chap stick, five hour energy and ibuprofen)
- Colored pencils
- My school schedule
- My spanish book
- My ID
I let my mom wash it and thankfully it is clean and good to go for this week of school. That was so easy, unfortunately my English project doesn't seem to be going so fast or well. Here are some cute things I found to put into a backpack:
Or this organizer? Perfect!

Check out some of these pens: Pretty Flashy? Should be, this pen costs $570.00

New New New

Most of my summer style is coming from Tommy Hilfiger. I love the new Hilfiger family offers great options for preppy clothing style. Aren't Sam and Danny just the cutest?
Anyways, back to reality- I am really excited for this upcoming weekend because it is finally time to clean out the closet and find new outfits to wear for spring. I suggest you do the same. Have some fun, clean out your closet, donate your old clothes to charity and buy some new pieces!
Looking at the website gave me some good ideas for new outfits to add to my closet. I headed over to Forever21.com to check out what they have to offer there and I found some great new bottoms (check out my wish list) that would pull an outfit together no doubt. Some other place that I have been looking at new clothing is Old Navy, which you might find crazy, but there is one pair of plaid shorts that I love.

I was looking around on the internet and I found this amazing site.  Kiel James Patrick. I love his work. The bracelets are to die for and the belts are extremely unique, not to mention he is cute! Just google him! I really like the idea that he has, to layer several different preppy fabrics together. Next weekend I am planning on heading out and getting some ribbon to make a replica of the great bracelets.

The End of the Beginning

This past weekend has been pretty slow. I like slow weekends, it gives me a chance to sleep, mess around on the internet and get caught up on school work (which I still have to do today). Yesterday, I sat in my room on my computer all day! I was thinking of revamping my wardrobe so I googled a few things and I found a great blog called The College Prepster. It is fantastic! They have great fashion advice, advice about movies and great give aways. I am planning on checking on it everyday. So far, I have found great posts about fashion and I was reintroduced to Kate Spade, my sixth grade fashion love.

I am loving a few other things besides Kate Spade, including SperryRight now, I only own one pair but the second my dad gets home I will have to add to my collection! I am totally at a toss up on which ones to get. . I really like the Bahama Style and found a great pair with some beachy flair. Below are the ones that I am getting!

Or maybe these ones:

Or maybe I will just get both! Which ones do you like better?
